We're thrilled you're considering joining our team. To ensure a smooth and transparent experience for everyone, we've outlined what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, throughout this journey. This document is designed to provide clarity and set the stage for a productive and respectful exchange. We are committed to building a winning team who is excited about our mission, and we're looking forward to learning more about how your skills and experience align with our goals.
What you can expect from us
Communication
- Our goal is always to move as quickly as possible and follow up with candidates as soon as we have an update. Sometimes we have internal discussions that need to happen before we can share an update with you and we will continue to keep you in the loop on our changing timeline if that is the case.
- Once you are scheduled for an interview with our team, we will share interview details including who you will be talking to and what the focus area is. You will also receive Google Calendar invites for every call with a video call link included.
Interviews
- Our interviewers will be fully present in their calls with you. They may be taking notes, so if you see them typing, that is what they are doing. Please feel free to reach out to us with any concerns.
- Our interviewers will be authentic and as transparent as possible in their calls with you. They will answer your questions about RevenueCat honestly.
- The majority of our interviews are based on real world problems that represent something you might run into in your day to day role here at RevenueCat. We want our interview process to be fair and reflective of the role itself.
- Each interview is evaluated using pre-determined objective criteria.
- We generally do not share interview feedback with candidates. We understand the interviews are just a snapshot in time and will never be a perfect process. However, our priority is to maintain a fair and consistent evaluation process for all candidates and make decisions accordingly.
What we expect from you
Logistics & Communication
- All interviews are conducted via video calls. To help us both have a great meeting, please join from a quiet spot with the right equipment (headphones, etc.). If you need any special accommodations, just let us know—we're happy to help!
- If you aren’t able to make an interview please reach out to let us know in advance if at all possible.
- You will be honest and authentic in your calls with our team members. We are looking for team members who are self-aware and able to reflect on what motivates them, share their career aspirations, and learn from their mistakes.
- Preparation matters: reflect beforehand on your experience and how it connects to this role and to RevenueCat's values, and have concrete examples ready to share. It's the best way to show us what you're truly capable of.
- If you are ever concerned about the timeline or have a specific deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
AI & Third-Party Tools
- We understand using AI tools is becoming increasingly common and more of the norm across all kinds of roles. Our team also uses these tools in our work to help enhance our productivity when it makes sense. However, in technical interviews, our goal is to assess a candidate’s genuine problem-solving abilities, thought processes, and communication skills directly.
